A new version of the kit, "Tropbio Filariasis Antigen II" was released in January 2014, manufactured under the IVD international quality system ISO13485 in 2015. Users can now be assured of a standardised, robust and reliable assay for a variety of applications that can also be automated as a high-volume screening tool.

The original WHO format, Tropbio filter paper blood collection disk is a trademarked product of Cellabs Pty Ltd. It is the most convenient filter paper for collecting fingerprick blood in the field. The filter paper is suitable for use with fingerprick blood, serum and other samples that can be absorbed and dried onto a paper. This has also been used to collect human fluids for DNA extractions.
